about the leap

i said i’d write more later after our “making the leap” picture so here is some explanation: i should be packing right now. packing because we are moving! we are moving back to small town montana, where we lived before moving to missoula. this hasn’t been planned for long, but over the last month some opportunities have come up and we are excited about the near future. randy and i will both be working full time at the therapeutic boarding school where i previously worked. it is a good career step for me and randy could finish his degree online if he wants. we have put a lot of thought and prayer in to this decision and we’ve decided to go for it. missoula is a great town and we’ve met some wonderful people here (some of whom are also moving). we will miss people and our church the most. and our garden. it’s a bummer to leave things that we have already planted, but we’re doing our best to take some things with us.

we move june 1st. did i mention that we need to start packing? cuz we do. randy is currently helping one of our friends move and i just got home from the farmer’s market (one of my favorite ways to spend a saturday morning in the spring). we have been doing our best to live it up in missoula the past few weeks, spending as much time with friends as possible.

we went garage sale-ing to look for big containers that we could transport some of our plants in. for a few dollars we found the above "pots"

we often go hiking with our friends jake and elise and their dog dozer. last sunday afternoon we drove out to lolo and hiked one of our favorite forest service roads in the area that has great views of the bitteroot mountains. my orange sunglasses were free from logger day competitions :)

then we enjoyed dinner at the lumberjack post hike - an awesome bar/restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

now i should really start packing. we are hoping to very thoroughly go through our stuff on this move. we are initially moving in to a one bedroom, furnished apartment. not that we need furniture, but it’s a month to month rental and that will be nice until we find a longer term housing option. it’s on 10 acres with beautiful views just 2 miles from work so it will do the job until we find something else.
