a wonderful birthday
yesterday was my birthday. and a wonderful day it was! i got to skype with both my sisters and both my nieces, talk to family, dinner with a sister-in-law and hang out with randy all day. the sun was shining and i’d like to think that maybe, just maybe, spring will be arriving soon in northwest montana. i hope so because we’re planting seeds (indoors) on wednesday! more on that later.
after morning coffee, cookies and scones, i opened a birthday package from some family and an awesome card from randy (that said, “it’s your birthday, lettuce celebrate” with a picture of a really happy head of lettuce 🙂 ). he got me a gift card to my favorite store in town with the thought that i could pick out another le creuset pot. they are the prettiest pots i’ve seen and we’re hoping to get a purple one. the store didn’t have purple, so i got a frog designed snack taxi and we headed south.
i had been looking forward to going to lake como for several weeks now. we had been hoping to cross-country ski but with all this warm(ish) weather there is not much snow on the trails. so we took a hike, which in my mind is not settling because i. love. hiking.
we started our trek back north, to missoula. first, a stop at wildwood brewery in stevensville.
we then continued north. throughout the day, the truck was making odd noises and the shifter was vibrating. we talked about taking it to an auto mechanic at some point next week to check it out. too late.
9 months of marriage and 27 years of life. thankful.
