hot springs!

i love weekends. so much.

started the day out with a 7 mile run that included cows, horses, a woodpecker, seeing elk on the mountainside, crossing a creek, falling on the ice and passing a winery. it was beautiful and refreshing. randy started the morning by helping someone at our church move. i’m not sure that he would describe it as refreshing but he is a strong believer in helping people (what a guy 🙂 ). i couldn’t agree more.

then i whipped up some huckleberry scones so we could take them on our adventure to some natural hot springs! we love hot springs on a winter day. it’s crazy relaxing and serene to sit in a natural pool of hot water while hearing the frigid creek pass by. we took fallon with us and he did pretty well, minus his insane squeaking in the car (why does he do that?!). a lovely day.

a day trip to idaho via lolo pass!

it's a 1.5 mile hike along the creek to the hot springs. you can see the steam as you get close!

we took a few cold dips in the freezer creek water (small pool on the left) and then plunged in to the hot water (that comes from the waterfall)
