venison roast & focaccia bread

randy has been wanting to try a mustard crusted venison roast recipe that he saw. today was the day. although this morning we discovered that we didn’t have enough mustard (we made mustard from scratch but gave most of it away). so he put what little mustard we had on the roast, tossed it in the crock pot with a chopped onion and crushed garlic cloves, added a few splashes of red wine and walked away. when we returned to the house several hours later after running errands it smelled great! by far the best roast he’s made.

my new recipe for the day was focaccia bread from one of the bread books i checked out from the library. it was a winner!

only had course sea salt for pickling so i got to use our fun pestle and mortor!

i didn't know focaccia bread had a potato in it...at least that's what this recipe called for

we’re in the middle of watching “the good, the bad and the ugly.” it’s kind of a slow movie and randy is currently trying to fix our sewer system that is going bazurk; not good. at least we had a delicious dinner!
