WFR re-cert

hard to believe that more than 2 years have passed since i took a wilderness first responder course. i spent the weekend in bozeman taking a 3 day re-certification course. i forgot what it’s like to be in class for 8 hours a day. we reviewed what felt like copious amounts of information, but thankfully i find wilderness medicine very interesting. and i even got to play the role of patient a few times (over the course of the weekend i had a broken tibia, an allergic reaction to a bee sting that resulted in respiratory distress, angina [kind of like a heart attack], a twisted ankle and a head injury).  and i got to try out my new tent!

just another photo opportunity/pit stop while driving across montana

my tent! plenty of space for just me, not so sure it will be as comfortable when truly used as a 3 person backpacking tent.

no papa del's in montana, but mackenzie river pizza isn't too bad. oh how i miss deep dish pizza.

i hope that i don’t have to use much of what i learned but if i find you hurt on the trail i’ll do what i can!
