southwest to midwest

mom and i had a fun time exploring parts of the southwest on our road trip back to the land of lincoln. some of our adventures included eating at my favorite breakfast restaurant in salt lake, riding horses in bryce canyon, going to the north rim of the grand canyon, seeing ancient pueblo dwellings at mesa verde national park (colorado), cafe hopping in pagosa springs (colorado) after the bug temporarily broke down, and driving through the night for the last 20 hours of the road trip. i know that i will miss the mountains and all the natural beauty of utah (as well as some of the people i met), yet i am thankful for the time to be near family and friends for a few months this summer.

four corners...where arizona, utah, colorado, and new mexico come together. in other words, i was in four places at once.

the bug takes a visit to the car doctor. thankfully it was fixed in one day - could have been a lot worse.
