exploring southern utah
i just got back from a 3 day road trip to southern utah. i was able to see some beautiful things. this was my first camping trip for pleasure since moving out here – it was a nice change of pace from camping at work. some highlights of the adventure included hiking angel’s landing at zion, hitchhiking a ride on a 26 mile dirt road to hike in slot canyons (my bug wouldn’t make it, hence bumming a ride off a neat couple named gene and darlene…awesome names, i know), catching my biggest lizard yet (roughly a foot from the head to the end of the tail), and eating a mocha torte at a cafe that overlooked beautiful desert. i have a lot of pictures, plus some, but here are a few. if you haven’t been to utah, i highly recommend visiting!
water break at bryce canyon
the last 1/2 mile of the angel's landing trail is basically straight up - but totally worth the view!
the top! (angel's landing, zion national park)
mocha torte at a cafe looking over beautiful desert (in the middle of absolutely nowhere)
