rain, snow, then sunshine!

it poured rain the first night of this past shift, snowed a day later, and was in the 80’s by the end of the shift! i’m a fan of the warmer weather, personally. work is more pleasant when the snow (or rain) is not dumping on you. one of the highlights of this shift happened on the last night. the other female staff and i did not set up a shelter so that we could gaze at the stars as we went to sleep. it was one of the most beautiful night skies i have ever seen. so many stars. i was in awe and couldn’t help but think of our amazing Creator.

“And God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night.  And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth’  And it was so.  And God made the two great lights –  the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night – and the stars.  And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness.  And God saw that it was good.  And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.” – Genesis 1:14-19

saw an antelope, lots of small lizards, and a scorpion this shift.  i like seeing wildlife.  i just flat out enjoy the outdoors.
