WFR + yosemite = lekker

i took a wilderness first responder (WFR) course near yosemite for the past 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. the teachers were experienced and knowledgeable, my classmates were unique and fun, and the course material was certainly applicable to my current job and general life interests. we did a lot of practice scenarios where we all took turns being patients. they put make-up on us to portray blood or bruises, gave us a medical history, etc. some of them were rather intense, but helpful for learning the material. the lodge where the course was is nestled in the mountains and trees. the food has been awesome (body might be paying for that) and the atmosphere is chill. i was able to spend two afternoons in yosemite…the first day it was raining and foggy.  that day i went with some people from class. today i went alone after the class was complete.  it was a beautiful, sunny day.  all in all, the past 10 days have been full of learning, meeting new people, seeing beautiful places, and relaxing here and there. it was been a wonderful break from work 🙂 here are some pics…
